Hoboken Recommendations
Hoboken, NJ, also known as "The Mile Square City" does not currently have a hotel. However, after much controversy, construction has begun on a W Hotel directly on the Hoboken waterfront. As this property will tower 27 stories, and be directly on the Hudson River, it will offer unparalleled views of the NYC Skyline. Until this project is completed, the best hotel options in the area include the Hyatt, Doubletree, Candlewood Suites, (all in Jersey City) and Sheraton Suites (Weehawken).

While I pass no judgement as to whether the city of Hoboken actually needed a hotel (this, along with height of the building, was part of the controversy mentioned above), the location should prove to be excellent for those looking for a less expensive alternative than staying directly in Manhattan since Hoboken has excellent transportation options for getting into Manhattan: PATH train, frequent bus service, and ferries are all available. Although room rates have not yet been announced, it is believed that midweek nites will be higher than weekend nites since the hotel will likley

This site will aim to document the construction of the W Hotel in Hoboken, as well as provide a resource for anyone who will be visiting Hoboken. If there is anything you would like to know about the city or have suggestions for this site, please feel free to contact us: admin[at]hobokenhotel.com
